The department is running with
the desired number of faculty

having their M.Sc and M.Phil
degree. Dr B.R.Pujari, a
teacher of the department
acquired PhD degree during 2002
from Sambalpur University on the
topic “Studies on dielectric
constant of some aqueous organic
solvent mixture and some Physico
/ chemical properties of N-Alkayl
Pyridinium Iodide in these
solvent mixture” and Sri
H.Mohanty has submitted his
thesis for the PhD degree under
Sambalpur University on the
topic “Studies on some homo/
hetero tri-nuclear metal
complexes with Co(II), Ni(II)
and Cu (II)”

The department has 513 number
of books in central library, 45
number of books in the seminar
library, computers, adequate
laboratory instruments and
overhead projector.
Sometimes the faculty members
use overhead projector and
computers for teaching.
. Sri Harihar Mohanty has
attended two refresher courses
and Dr Biswa Ranjan Pujari has
attended one refresher course.
Our department participates in
the extension activities of the
college. The faculty members
hold the charges of NSS, Sports,
Environmental Awareness Club and
students actively participate in
the extension activities. The
department conducts quiz and
mock test regularly.Dr. Biswa
Ranjan Pujari was awarded PhD in
the year 2002 and two students
i) Sarita Garnayak was
ranked 14 and
ii) Subhadra Munda was
ranked 17 in B.Sc (Honours )
